The president of the Paris School of Journalism Guilaume Jobin was in Cameroon for a working visit. Mr Jobin came on invitation of the chief Executive Officer of the University of the Gulf of Guinea, Louis Marie Djambou whose institution partners with the Paris School of Journalism. The visit was characterized by a series of audiences remarkably at the National Communication Council where he was received by its President Peter Essoka.
He met the GM of the Cameroon Radio Television, Amadou Vamoulke and the Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary. Guillaume Jobin at the end of his visit expressed concerns over some ethical and deontological lapses in the practice of Journalism in the Cameroon. He observed that journalists need to continue training and to carryout professional exchange given the challenges that are coming with the switching over from the analogue to the digital broadcasting.
