A Presidential decree signed Monday 21st December 2015 appointed Edwin Fongod Nuvaga as the new Director General of Customs Cameroon. The new DG, formerly Chief at the Information Department and a Senior Custom Inspector with the Customs Cameroon takes over from Minette Libom Li Likeng who was on the 2nd of October appointed Minister of Post and Telecommunications.
The discreet man in his 50s comes at a time when a recent government report indicates that the Cameroonian customs revenue collection was declining at catastrophic rapidity. Thus much is expected of him.
