Anglophone crisis : Nocturnal gunfire leaves Bamenda in fear

After imposing a curfew in  some parts of the North West region, especially in Bamenda, forces of La Republique have begun a  gunfire parade.

According to reliable sources in Bamenda, movement has been prohibited between 10pm and 5am.

A student residing in Bambili disclosed to Cameroon Concord that every night sounds like Syria with persistent gun shots going off here and there.

"They keep firing...firing," our source said.

He added that the case of Bambili is worse. "Last night it sounded like they were firing in front of my day. I was very scared," says our source.

This comes in the wake of fresh attacks on security forces in Southern Cameroons.

At least four military and paramilitary officers have been brought down by alleged terrorists in recent days.
