Cameroon: Finance Minister issues warning to Banks respecting Ghost Towns

The Minister of Finance has threatened to withdraw the licence of the National Financial Credit Bank in Bamenda for closing its doors on ghost town days.
Alamine Ousmane May accuses the manager of the Bamenda branch of NFC Bank of not respecting his commitment, especially after accepting during a series of meetings held by the SDO for Mezam to open his bank on every workday notwithstanding the ghost towns.
This information is contained in a letter addressed to the manager. The letter was written on September 07 but arrived its destination on September 23.

There are further sanctions pending should NFC Bank fail to respect the order.
