Gun shots have been heard early this evening at the Bangolan Palace, Babessi Sub Division of Ngokutunjia Division, Northwest Region. Angry villagers stormed the palace this evening demanding Fon CHAFAH XI who was dethroned weeks back, to leave the palace.
A source in BABA told our correspondent that gun shots were heard from the direction of the palace which wounded five persons. The fon’s son and four villagers. I am told no one has died.
Roads leading to the village have been blocked; Security forces don’t have access to the village.
Our correspondent was equally told the situation became worst when shots were fired from all directions, the TAKEMBENG women (Who usually march naked to denounce certain issues) came out naked, leaving many to flee from what they termed ill luck.
Fon CHAFAH XI who was dethroned while in Yaoundé has been struggling to gain favor from the villagers after a crisis meeting which held at the council hall of Babessi. According to villagers, the meeting did not yield fruits. They have continued to maintain that Fon CHAFAH is no more their Fon.
About 500 villagers from Bangolan on Wednesday February 24, 2016 staged a sit down protest in front of the governor’s office in Bamenda to demand an end to torture and massive arrest of youths by the army. They were rather referred to go back to the SDO for Ngoketunja, Kwela Valery for a solution.
The Fon is being accused of relegating tradition to the back ground after embracing religion, villagers hold that he burnt some traditional statues that represents the Bangolan village.
FON CHAFAH is still in palace surrounded by angry villagers.

A lady was yesterday caught on Camera displaying erratically in Douala as onlookers gathered to understand what was going on.The seemingly well placed woman first pulled off her skirt after parking her luxury car (Posh-Cayenne) in front of a super market called Niki Supermarket.
Then she began to undress herself to the astonishment of those watching. A huge crowd gathered and she began to run with no sense of direction.
The crowd quickly chased her. Some to see more, others to save her from going mad.
Eventually, she was apprehended by security officers who came to her help. While trying to question her to know what was going on by the police officers at the scene, she was not really herself.Instead of speaking, she burst into unexplanable laughter to the surprise of the crowd at the scene. Some suggest that it might be a case of mental illness, others say it might as a result of sects. In any case, she had problems with her mind.

One of Cameroon's greatest musicians and legendary guitarist, Richard Bona has insinuated that President Biya has ordered his secret service men to eliminate him. The US based artist is becoming an intimidating figure within the Cameroonian political landscape. Recently, Richard Bona presented a public image of himself as a rabble rouser ready to march his private army to the gates of Etoudi to oust the man he now calls the most dangerous man in Cameroon’s history.
Richard Bona has certainly become an enemy to the regime that knighted him some few months ago not just because of his unbending Biya remarks but telling the world that the Cameroonian dictator is “more dangerous than Boko Haram”. The international superstar accused Biya over the Laquantinie Hospital Scandal of routinely appointing inefficient cabinet ministers.
Richard Bona described by many as courteous, warm and funny and of course persuasive, wrote on his face book page that: “Mr President, your secret service are active on my person. I-do-not-play-Games. And my skin is TUFFF. My Legal team is ready”.

PRESS RELEASE
THE FOMUNYOH FOUNDATION / LA FONDATION FOMUNYOH/
"The Fomunyoh Foundation condemns in the strongest terms all the irresponsible behavior as well as manipulations of any kind that affect the lives and dignity of human beings. It invites the Cameroonian government to establish responsibilities and to draw all the consequences, so that such events will never happen again in our national triangle"
It is with deep emotion and great consternation that we learned the sad events of recent days involving some Cameroonian hospitals, especially with the quality of their reception and care for people admitted to the emergency units. After the case of Ms Ngo Kana, a young doctor who died while giving birth, the current case of Ms. Monique Koumate has once again plunged all souls with a bit of humanism into fear and worry.
While extending condolences to the concerned families and the entire national community, the Fomunyoh Foundation condemns in the strongest terms all the irresponsible behavior and manipulation of any kind that affect the lives and dignity of human beings . It invites the Cameroonian government to establish responsibilities and to draw all the consequences, so that such events should never happen again in our national triangle.
The Fomunyoh Foundation draws the attention of medical personnel of all hospitals, public or private, on their homework to save lives, regardless of the social status of people or any other consideration. While recognizing the difficult conditions under which they work, the sanctity of life must always take precedence over demotivation and any form of pursued of financial gains.
Moreover, these recent events challenge at the highest level the President of the Republic and his government, that the Cameroonian health system be reformed and improved to be at the service of the people. It is also urgent to establish a universal health care coverage that will ensure universal access to prompt and quality care to all Cameroonians.
The Fomunyoh Foundation remains strongly mobilized and attentive to closely monitor the situation in our hospital units , in accordance with its humanitarian work and the protection of human rights, to provide a better life for the most vulnerable people of our country.
Done in Bamenda, 14 March 2016
