Cameroon: Christians remain confuse as search continues for the bishop of Bafia

24 hours after the mysterious disappearance of Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Balla, Bishop of Bafia diocese, Catholic Christians, the entire population of the Mbam and Inoubou division, local and administrative authorities are all in total confusion, shock and dismay since the multiple search operations have yielded no result.

 Traditional rites performed early this morning 01st of June in the sanaga river by traditional rulers with the hope of appeasing the gods to  release the corpse, is yet to produce the expected results. They claim that if really he has drowned in the said  river, by evening this same day, his corpse will be retrieved.




But as we speak to you, mystery still loom over  the man of God's whereabouts. The church has also organized series of prayer sessions to evoke divine intervention.

Speculations are rife on this horrible incident as opinions are equally divided on whether the Shepherd of the church of Bafia drowned or has been abducted by unknown individuals.

The scene is surrounded by both elements of the gendarmerie and the police force.

The government of la republique du Cameroun covered with shame and disgrace is leaving no stone unturned to get to the root of this evil that has given a big slap on the face of the biggest Christian community in the country.

The disapperance of the bishop was confirmed by the Archbishop of Douala, Samuel Kleda, who is also the president of the Episcopal Conference of  Cameroon.
This is not the first case of the disappearance of Catholic clergy in Cameroon.
