More than 400 Nigerians have arrived back home after fleeing the ongoing war in Ukraine. The group landed on a chartered flight from Romania, one of the countries where African governments are scrambling to evacuate their citizens. Apart from Romania, Nigerians will be evacuated from Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. On Tuesday, Ghana was the first African country to repatriate its citizens, flying home 17 of the 500 students displaced by the conflict.
