A woman found out that romance really is dead when a man asked her to pay him £3.50 for a coffee after she declined his offer of another date. Dating blogger Lauren Crouch, from Islington, London, shared the interesting message exchange with the man on her website No Bad Dates, Just Good Stories. The 28-year-old, who describes herself as a romantic, met the man for a coffee. He invited her back to his home after 20 minutes - because he needed to get back for his Ocado shopping delivery - which Ms Crouch declined. After they parted, he messaged her asking if she would like to meet again.
But when she politely said no twice, he asked her for his money back. He said: “Fair enough. Can you pay me back for your coffee? I don’t like wasting money. Prefer to use it on a date with someone else.” To which Ms Crouch replied: “It’s a shame you consider a date to be a waste when it doesn’t end on your terms. How about I donate £3.50 to a charity of your choice to give you a chance to regain some decorum? I can even bump it up to £5 to cover your bus journey too if you’d like?” The man replied with his bank account details.

Some three thousand Nigerian refugees who ran away from Boko Haram exaction in North East Nigeria and sought refuge in Cameroon have decided to voluntarily return to their country. They are the third group so far to returned to their homes in Nigeria under the escort of the Rapid Intervention Battalion, BIR.
The refugees expressed gratitude to the Cameroon government and its people for their hospitality. Some of them however regret going back to areas where there are still pockets of militants of the terrorist group Boko Haram that forced them to flee to safety earlier. Despite the recent sporadic suicide attacks in Fotokol and in Neighbouring Chad, the refugees are upbeat of their security especially during the journey which will be made under the surveillance of the Cameroon elite force.

The President of the National Assembly Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, who requested the Minister of Justice to put on trial his former bodyguard using the new anti-terrorism law, has said that President Biya should contest the 2018 presidential elections.
The appeal was made by Hon. Cavaye Djibril during a CPDM forum grouping internal and external elites including traditional and religious notables of the Mayo-Sava division. The Tokombéré November 6, 2015 declaration asking Paul Biya to file his candidacy for president in 2018 marks the beginning of calls for the Cameroonian dictator to continue as head of state.

Russian President Vladimir Putin says Moscow is working on weapons systems to counter the US's so-called anti-missile shield. Putin made the remarks at a meeting in the southwestern city of Sochi on Tuesday to discuss the development of the country's defense sector. "We have repeatedly said that Russia will take all necessary retaliatory steps to strengthen its strategic nuclear forces capabilities. We will also work on missile defense systems. But at the first stage as we've said many times before we will work on assault systems able to counter any anti-missile systems," he said.
Washington is trying to conceal its real objective behind the enlargement of its so-called anti-missile shield across Europe, citing alleged threats posed by North Korea and Iran, the Russian president added. The purported threats by Pyongyang and Tehran “only camouflage the true plans, and their (the US) true goal is to neutralize the strategic nuclear potential of other nuclear states,” he noted.
Putin further emphasized that the US claims come at a time that the issue of Iran has been "settled and relevant agreements have been signed." He was referring to the July agreement between Iran and the P5+1 countries – the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia plus Germany – over Tehran’s nuclear program in the Austrian city of Vienna. According to the agreement, dubbed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Islamic Republic will accept restrictions on its nuclear program in return for removal of sanctions imposed on Tehran by the US and the European Union. The Kremlin has constantly protested the expansion of the so-called US anti-missile system by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization along Russia's borders in East Europe, calling it a direct threat to Moscow.
