which has now led to legal consequences. Okechukwu has pleaded not guilty to three counts of abusing banknotes by throwing money into the air at events, resulting in notes being trodden on.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is taking action against such abuses, alleging that Okechukwu tampered with 500 naira notes at events in Lagos. He appeared in court and was granted bail for 10 million naira ($8,600; £6,970) after being charged at Lagos' Federal High Court. This development follows similar cases involving other public figures, including internet personality Bobrisky and actress Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin, who were both sentenced to six months in prison for similar offenses.

The EFCC has stated that investigations are ongoing, with several celebrities implicated, and 24 people have already been convicted in connection with these activities. This crackdown highlights the seriousness with which authorities are addressing financial misconduct and abuse of currency at social gatherings in Nigeria.
