Boko Haram Mine Attack Kills 3 Cameroon Soldiers
Sama Ernest
Three soldiers of the Rapid Intervention Force were killed early this morning in the Far North Region of Cameroon by militants of the Nigerian Islamic sect, Boko Haram. Information that filtered from the military says the soldiers were patrolling from Zelevet to Mora when their vehicle exploded from a mine widely believed to have been planted by Boko Haram.
Cameroon Concord is aware that two soldiers were seriously injured and three others missing reportedly taken hostage by Boko Haram. Our informant in Maroua hinted a few hours ago that the Cameroon military is not getting the desired cooperation from the inhabitants of the Far North region in areas such as intelligence gathering and non state policing.
