Expressing the dire situation, Ngando Pickett stated in a video interview, "We are waiting for your support to be able to take the plane and return to Yaoundé. FECAFOOT has already returned. We have been abandoned. We are stuck in Abidjan. We need 1,400,000 FCFA for return plane tickets. We are suffering in Abidjan; things are not going well!"

This distressing scenario has left the renowned supporter in urgent need of financial assistance, highlighting the absence of support from the Cameroonian soccer federation. Despite being 72 years old, Ngando Pickett faced the challenges of the journey, making his way through Niamounia in the Mayo Darley region of Adamaoua back in early January before reaching Ivory Coast. His route included travels through Kano and Lagos in Nigeria, ultimately arriving in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.

As Ngando Pickett sits stranded in  Ivory Coast, the iconic Lions supporter appeals to the Cameroonian people for support to overcome the challenges and return home.
