Cameroon: Hugo Broos insists on Moukandjo becoming new captain

Cameroon Head Coach Hugo Broos has maintained that, Benjamin Moukandjo will captain the indomitable lions ahead of their FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Limbe on November 12.

The Belgian tactician has continued to go against the governments choice of Stephan Mbia and opted for Moukandjo who has worn the captains armband since the AFCON 2017 qualifier against Gambia on September 3.

Going by the exact words of the coach ''I have made my choice. It is the best of our players now and if i have not selected old players like Mbia and Eyong, it is because i have made my choice.

Broos has made it clear that qualifying for the FIFA World Cup in Russia is top of his priority list and winning against Zambia will further motivate his side to attain this objective.
