On October 7, 2024, an important meeting took place at the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon, addressing crucial issues related to football management in the country.

The session, chaired by Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, Secretary General of the Presidency, brought together the President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o, and the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Pr. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.

This strategic meeting came shortly after the Ministry of Sports and FECAFOOT agreed to cooperate for the common good of football, reflecting the government's commitment to supporting national sports institutions. The discussions centered on promoting sporting excellence and strengthening the infrastructure essential for the development of young talent.

Also present were Philippe Mbarga Mboa, Minister of Mission at the Presidency, and Oswald Baboke, Deputy Director of the Civil Cabinet. The meeting, which took place ahead of the 3rd and 4th rounds of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, was seen as a positive step toward bringing stability and progress back to Cameroonian football.
