With 2 hours 28 minutes at the end of the 42 km, Cameroonian athlete Justin Foimi has won the second edition of the international marathon of Abidjan on Tuesday,15.November 2016. He dethrones the former title holder,  Ivorian Boris Kouamé who finished 3rd.

The Marathon took the runners through the town of Plateau, passing by the palace of sports of Treichville in the South of Abidjan, and through the municipalities of Marcory and Cocody.The event saw the participation of Eight countries including Cameroon, Gabon, Ghana, Niger and Côte d'Ivoire, according to reports by the organizers.  

The competition was won in the professional senior category by Cameroonian athlete Justin Foimi, followed by Ghanaian runner  Raja Lagble and  Ivorian Boris Kouamé who was until Tuesday November 15, the defending champion.

The new winner Justin Foimi  believes that this victory is "a test for the games of the Francophonie" for which he is preparing with full force.
