Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

Samuel Eto'o scored a scandalous goal with his hand on Saturday as his side MP Antalyaspor beat Galatasaray 4-2.

The Cameroonian striker opened the scoring in controversial circumstances in the 15th minute, as a cross from Jean Makoun found him at the back post.

Yet, with the ball slightly too far away from him to head it, Eto'o instead reached out his left arm to stop the ball - Maradona-style, before heading it into the empty net, in one fluid movement.

The action was subtle enough for neither the referee or his assistants to notice, and the ex-Barcelona forward's goal stood despite the incessant protests from the Galatasaray players.

This was by no means Eto'o's only significant action in the match, as he went on to score again, this time completely legally, and provide an assist for teammate Emrah Bassan, in an exciting encounter.

The victory leaves Antalyaspor in 11th place in the Super Lig, while Galatasaray lie five points above them in 8th.

Eto'o, meanwhile, moves on to 19 league goals for the season, trailing Mario Gomez by three, in the race to become the league's top goalscorer.
