Russia 2018-Semis: Will it remain 8 teams to have ever won World Cup!

The quarter finals of the 2018 world cup are now over, and coming up as from Tuesday, it will be the semi-finals, which shall include France, Belgium, England and Croatia. 

 

France, fresh from their 2-0 defeat of Uruguay, were the first up and they will take on Belgium on 10 July, Tuesday night.

A day later, it will be England’s turn on Wednesday 11 July, as they face off against Croatia in their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.

Two of the four teams left (France and England), are fighting for their second world cup titles, while Belgium and Croatia are in quest of a first ever world cup crown.

So far, 8 teams have won the competition; Brazil (5 times), Germany (4 times), Italy (4 times), Argentina (2 times), Uruguay (2 times), England (1 time), France (1 time), and Spain (1 time).

Tuesday 10 July

France vs Belgium - St Petersburg, 7pm (Match 61)

Wednesday 11 July

Croatia vs England - Moscow (Luzhniki), 7pm (Match 62)
