The Cameroon Women Military team has been drawn in Pool A in the Women Military World Cup 2016 scheduled to take place in Brittany, France from May 25th to June 5th.
Considered by sport pundits as group of death, Cameroon is housed alongside host country France, Canada and Netherlands. In Pool B, Brazil will face South Korea, US, and Germany.
Cameroon will begin the competition on May 26 against Canada at the Bougouin Commander Stadium in Rennes and two days later the military Lionesses will face France at the Rabin Stadium in Valves.
The last group match of Cameroon will be in Roger Belliard Stadium in Cesson Sevigne against Netherlands
The two semifinals are scheduled for June 2 in Saint-Brieuc while the classification matches for the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th places will be on June 4. The finals is planned at the Rabin Stadium in Valves on Sunday, June 5.
According to reports, the international competition aims to promote the spirit of women via all local stakeholders and highlight the existing common values between the defense community and that of football: respect, solidarity, fun and victory.
“The idea of organizing this competition in France was born two years ago on the occasion of the general assembly of the International Military Sports Committee, bringing together 134 nations,” says the chief commissioner Hervé Piccirillo, also commander National Sport Centre of Defense.
Beyond the competition will be many common issues including the development of professional integration, training, research, communication, feminization and the project “Sport 2020″ but also the strengthening of the army-nation link.
The President of the France Football Federation, FFF, Christmas Graët shall sponsor the first edition to be held in the cities of Rennes, St Brieuc, St Malo, Vannes, Cesson and Chantepie.
With over 145,230 licensees including 5 935 women, Brittany League is preparing to organize the first military women’s World Cup with eight nations from all continents to participate in this major international event from 26 May to 5 June 2016.

His tremendous start of career has been slowed down by injuries that could take a toll on his performance. Njie Clinton came to the limelight during Cameroon’s 4-1 win over Côte d’Ivoire in the qualifiers for the 2015 AFCON during which he scored a spectacular goal that went viral as the public saw in him a worthy heir to Samuel Eto’o Fils who freshly took his international retirement, especially as the native from the South West Region, 21 years, had scored two days earlier in the encounter against the Democratic Republic of Congo barely 44 minutes after making his debut with the Indomitable Lions. From then much was expected from the young footballer especially after he left Lyon for a more prestigious club in England, Tottenham.
With success both at club and country level, the public was surprised Clinton was increasingly sidelined from the national team in the warm up matches leading up to the nation’s cup in Equatorial Guinea. He only came in as a substitute in the last group game against Côte d’Ivoire. Clinton’s misfortune did not end at country level but also continued at the club level as he sustained three major injuries, the last of which kept him off the pitch for three months.
With very little time of play to his record, it is difficult to determine whether Clinton Njie has regained the full measure of his talent. The next 2017 AFCON qualifier game against Mauritania and the friendly against France on May 30th, may be an opportunity for Cameroonians to know whether Clinton Njie is back to form or not.

Why Do Healthy Athletes Die of Heart Attacks?
In Patick Ekeng's case, media reports are saying the ambulance at the scene did not have an automated defibrillator(cost price=400€ only) which could have rescued his life.Investigations have been launched.
A person in sudden cardiac arrest will collapse suddenly and lose consciousness, with no pulse or breathing.Without immediate CPR or a shock from an automated defibrillator, the person usually dies within minutes. We did not see any CPR being performed when the medics rushed to Patrick,is that what repeated itself today in Ebolowa?
