Panic has rocked the entire Cameroonian sporting public following injury sustained by Idriss Carlos Kameni of FC Malaga. The Cameroonian International was forced to abandon his teammates on the 28th day of play that pitted his club against Deportivo La Coruña.
After 38 minutes, the Cameroonian goalkeeper was forced to leave the field after an injury to his right knee. Kameni now joins the list of unavailable players for the meeting of the 26th of March 2016, counting for the third day of qualification for the African Cup of Nations in 2017.
The Indomitable Lions will host the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Limbe. Kameni, Sébastien Bassong, Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting, Benjamin Moukandjo, Léonard Kweuke and the energetic Clinton Njie are all out of the squad.

A man was killed after arguing with a friend over whether Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo was the best footballer in the world. Nigerian national Michael Chukwuma, 21, stabbed 34-year-old compatriot Obina Durumchukwu in a Mumbai suburb, Indian police said. The incident took place following a party on Saturday night. "They were discussing football players. One is a fan of Messi and the other was for Ronaldo," a police inspector said.
"During the conversation a quarrel has taken place. The deceased threw a glass into the face of the accused person. The glass broke and caused small injuries. "After that the accused took the broken glass and assaulted the deceased person who died due to heavy bleeding."
Argentina international Messi, 28, is a five-time winner of the Ballon d'Or - the annual award given to the world's best player by the governing body Fifa. Portugal captain Ronaldo, 31, has won the accolade three times.

Veteran Cameroonian keeper Carlos Kameni scored a comical own goal as Malaga slumped to a 2-1 loss to Valencia in the Spanish La Liga on Wednesday.
Valencia leveled the score four minutes before the break in bizarre fashion after Malaga took a 14th-minute lead.
Kameni turned and jumped in the six-yard box to claw away a right-wing cross but palmed the ball into his own net instead.
Denis Cheryshev netted five minutes after the break to give Valencia a 2-1 win.
Kameni, 32, has been Cameroon's first-choice keeper for more than a decade since making his debut in 2001.
He won the African Cup of Nations with the Indomitable Lions in 2002 and also helped them reach the FIFA Confederations Cup final one year later.

Cameroon international Assou-Ekotto now playing with Saint Etienne has broken the silence he maintained ever since he refused to wear the black armband in tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks last November. The former Tottenham player observed that "there is no difference among the dead". When Cameroon was hit by a similar attack, added Assou Benoit Ekotto, his club refused him from putting on a black armband during an Europa League match. That is why, he disassociated himself from his teammates during the deadly attack in Bataclan.
Said Ekotto, "Shortly before, there was an attack in northern Cameroon and I was refused to wear it for an Europa League match I know the principle of 'death kilometer': an assassin who kills two people in the sixteenth district in Paris will make more noise than if he kills a hundred at the other side of the world. But as a very straight man, I do not see why I should wear an armband for dead in Paris and not in Cameroon. I am neither black nor white, except my skin color. For me, there is no VIP dead.
