Alarming Update: Nguiessap Lucie Audrey's Disturbing Ordeal
In a shocking turn of events, Nguiessap Lucie Audrey, also known as Mrs. Sime, has been subjected to a harrowing ordeal of confinement, psychological torture, and physical abuse allegedly inflicted by her husband, Deputy Sime Pierre.
The bizarre scene of her captivity unfolded in collusion with magistrates, security forces, lawyers, and other third parties, broadcasted live on this platform from their conjugal residence in the Pastoral neighborhood of Nkongssamba.
Following the surreal spectacle, Mrs. Nguiessap Lucie Audrey, the victim, was forcefully expelled in the dead of night, treated callously as if disposing of a mere object after use. She was escorted away from her home by both uniformed and plainclothes police officers, under the smirking gaze of her husband, Deputy Sime Pierre, accompanied by loyal supporters and friends, who seemed to celebrate this tragic display. She was placed into a vehicle and taken to the Lele neighborhood in the same city.
The victim's legal representatives have taken action by petitioning the President of the Commission on Human Rights in Cameroon (CDHC) to request the lifting of Deputy Sime Pierre's immunity, enabling him to face justice for his alleged actions.{loadmoduleid 377}
Excerpt from the Legal Petition: Mr. President,
On behalf, in the interest, and for the account of our client, Mrs. SIME, formerly known as NGUIESSAP DJAMBONG Lucie Audrey, residing in Nkongsamba, we hereby submit, under Article 39 of Law No. 2019/014 of July 19, 2019, establishing the Creation, Organization, and Functioning of the Commission on Human Rights in Cameroon, this petition for the implementation of recommendations put forth by international and regional human rights mechanisms, including those from treaties ratified by Cameroon. These recommendations are sought in light of the following events that any subsequent investigations will substantiate.
Our client, the legitimate wife (in her third marriage) of Mr. SIME Pierre, a Member of Parliament residing in Nkongsamba, is lamenting the unacceptable restriction of her freedom and multiple acts of psychological, moral, and physical torture inflicted by her husband. These actions transpired in Douala and Nkongsamba, with the involvement of physicians (genital mutilation and forced abortion), civil and military authorities (forced home confinement, verbal and physical violence by private gendarmes, deprivation of gas, food, water, and electricity for several weeks, along with mistreatment).
The details of these alleged acts, conveyed through video documentation, are available for your perusal and will be corroborated by witnesses during the investigations you may deem necessary.
To this day, she continues to endure post-traumatic stress resulting from the forced abortion and abuse of her genital organs, exacerbated by her recent forced confinement at home, with no explanation provided by either her husband or the armed forces that occupied her residence for weeks.
Since Monday, January 8, 2024, the gendarme presence has ceased following media alerts, allowing her to narrowly escape the looming threat of forced disappearance projected by these actions. She bears lifelong scars from this ordeal, a life that would have extinguished without witnesses.
There is no doubt that investigations will confirm these grave violations of her human rights—rights to life, physical integrity, freedom of movement, and property, all of which are her constitutional rights.
Upon conclusion of the investigations, it will be imperative to establish and report on these unjustifiable acts of violence, mistreatment, and torture suffered by our client. Legal action should be taken against all perpetrators and accomplices to ensure they are punished, and she is duly compensated.
It is evident, as per international law, that torture and mistreatment are prohibited under all circumstances, as they constitute a denial of individual rights. Orders from superiors should not serve as excuses or justifications.
Enclosed herewith are several acts of submission to public authorities for investigation.
THEREFORE, this petition is presented to you for the measures provided under Articles 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 of Law No. 2019/014 of July 19, 2019, establishing the Creation, Organization, and Functioning of the Commission on Human Rights in Cameroon. We urge you to exercise your power of investigation and reporting to solicit the lifting of any immunities hindering due punishment.
Remaining at your disposal for any necessary further information, we extend our distinguished regards.{loadmoduleid 378}
