Another baby stolen at a maternity clinic in Yaounde
A new born baby was abducted on Sunday evening at a maternity clinic in Yaoundé situated opposite the police academy in Tsinga, Cameroon Concord has learnt. According to information revealed by the police department, Djouala Judith a lady in her thirties, gave birth to a child on Sunday, March 29, at around 10am. Tired from birth, the young mother dozed between 18 hours and 18h 30. It was at that time that the child was abducted by an unknown individual.
Some patients at the clinic who spoke to Cameroon Concord expressed shocked that the incident took place in the vicinity of the police academy. Kidnapping of new born babies are not a new phenomenon. In January 2012, the abduction of a baby belonging to a certain Tchatchou Vanessa, a young 17 year old girl at the time who had given birth, became a state palaver prompting President Biya to fire the director of the General Hospital at Ngousso where the abduction took place. For now, the mother has been placed in solitary confinement.
