Bamenda:Business men and women in Bamenda on demo to protest high rents paid to the city council
Bamenda: Over 3000 business men and women in markets within Bamenda City Council are holding a march to protest high rents paid to the city council. The Government Delegate to the Bamenda City Council has been blame for incompetence and described by many as "greedy". "The rents are extremely high and we do not get satisfaction from the services rendered. The markets are very dirty, garbage is not collected and all of these endangers the health of market users. We do not have enough toilets, yet the city council is making money. The traders are staging a peaceful match towards the City Council office to address the issue to the Government Delegate for a long lasting solution.
