Bamenda City Council: “Grand Councilors” or “Senior Councilors”?Councilors disagree over appellation

Councilors of the Bamenda City Board representing the three councils within the City Council area have disagreed over the change of appellation from “Grand Councilors” to “Senior Councilors.” 

The disagreement over the appellation surfaced during the 2016 midterm evaluation session of the City Council Thursday September 29, 2016. Those who were against the change started a protest just on arrival in the hall after the City Secretary General Jude Waindim decided to do the name tags of the councilors referring to them as “Senior Councilors” instaed of the usual nomenclature of “Grand Councilor.”
