Cameroon: Babessi sub division decry CPDM abandonment
Since the creation of Babessi Sub-Division in the early 90s, the people of Babessi has always overwhelming voted for CPDM in all elections.
The paradox is that they have little or no benefits from the goodies of the ruling party.
Instead, the village has suffered heavy damages in course of the Anglophone crisis. It is no longer news that about 50 computers and administrative block of G.B.H.S Babessi was reduced to ashes. As if that was not enough Government Primary School Babessi was burned by unknown men. The damage has been estimated in millions of Franc CFA.
From Bangolan ,Babessi and Baba1 to Babungo, their representatives in parliament still have the mentality of colonial masters.
That is why Hon.Njigum Musa's gift of cartoons of sugar to the Bagolan people was burned before he could leave the place.
The case of Senator Dinga Ignatius is not different. The last time he was seen in Babessi was with a generator(Market price=200,000frs) as a gift to Babessi Health Center.
The distrust that most Babessi youths have for the party and some elites is alarming. No wander Momoh Dero, a MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST and prolific freelance blogger who is passionate writing about social justice has being very critical of some these elites.
He conscientiously gathers as much information as possible in turn inform, engage, and educate the public in clear and compelling ways on significant issues.
“ The social media has given media back to the people. I am using it to give voice to the voiceless and holding the powerful accountable.”. He explained.
It is as a result of his critical ideas that he was considered persona non grata by some of his elites for openly condemning their hypocrisy.
