Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

The Cameroonian Minister of Trade, Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, has just ordered through a communiqué, the withdrawal from the local market of chocolate bars and confectionery products marketed under the Mars, Snickers, Celebrations, Milky Way, Twix, Dove, Bounty, Skittles, Balisto and M&M’S trademarks.

The communication release from this member of the Cameroonian government follows a decision from the American chocolate maker MARS, owner of these brands, to recall all these products deemed unfit for human consumption, a plastic residue having been found in one of these products by a consumer.

However, the stocks concerned by this withdrawal from the Cameroonian market, Minister Mbarga Atangana specified, while calling for vigilance among local consumers, are only those whose best-by dates go from 19 June 2016 to 08 January 2017.
