Cameroon: National security boss decorates 16 police officers
19 police officers received new ranks while 16 got medals of merit at a ceremony in Yaounde on December 30, 2015 spiced with military honours. The Delegate General for National Security, Martin Mbarga Nguele, officially awarded Public Force Medals of the Cameroon Order of Merits, on the ticket of 20th May, 2015 to some meritorious 16 Inspectors of Police who were formerly on detachment for maintenance of law and order in Garoua Boulai.
The ceremony was also an occasion for Martin Mbarga Nguele to award epaulets to Police Officers who moved to the rank of Commissioners, recently promoted by the Head of State on November 2, 2015. Still at the esplanade of the Police Headquarters in Yaounde, the Delegate General for National Security awarded epaulets to nine Senior Superintendents of Police who have been promoted to the rank of Police Commissioners while the newly promoted Police Commissioners awarded epaulets to some 10 Police Superintendents who have been promoted to the rank of Senior Police Superintendents.
