Cameroon: Overdose Cannabis Kills 17-year-old
A 17-year-old Giscard Waffo Tala, was on Tuesday, September 19, found dead in a taxi in the Famla neighbourhood, Bafoussam.
According to reports, Tala died after taking an overdose of cannabis and other drugs.
He was only discovered dead on Tuesday in a taxi immatriculated OU 562AN, in front of a shop where car parts are sold.
According to Maribelle, Manager of the shop, the vehicle was bought in the evening of the previous day and was parked on the other side.
“This morning, when we wanted to move the vehicle, we saw this man in it. We shook him to wake up, but realised he was dead. He must have died of overdose cannabis, given that; there are still some remains in the car. '
Informed, the State Counsel, West Regional Commissioner of National Security, and a Medical Doctor rushed to the scene to appraise the situation.
Talla is said to have left Douala for Bafoussam on Monday, September 18, but never got to their house.
His grandmother, who had come to witness the scene, recognised her grandson’s body.
The family members of the deceased confessed the delinquent and unstable character of the young man. His body was ferried to Bandjoun for burial.{loadposition myposition2}
