Cameroon Receives Loan Worth Fcfa 25 Billion From Spain For The Rehabilitation Of The Yaounde Lake
The convention signed on Tuesday 13th September 2016 by the Cameroonian Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Louis Paul Motaze was approved on September 9, by the Head of State. The project to make the view a beauty on its own, will be conducted in two phases during 24 months. The Asciona firm, made of 30000 spanish entrepreneurs will ensure the restructuring of the dilapidating lake to a place worth the image of country.
According to the terms of the agreement, the loan from Spain will serve; -The construction of a hotel worth 80 rooms during the first phase and 300 in the second phase. -refurbish the drainage system, electricticy and the stinking water to a waterfront. -Construct gardens and parks -Provide boats for relaxation amongst others. It is worth nothing that, the rehabilitation of the Yaounde Municiapl lake has been a project on paper since 2003 when the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development conducted a study to rehabilitate the lake and in 2008 another on the sanitation of the lake was done.
