Chantal Biya Foundation donates working equipment to youth training centre
Cameroon first lady Chantal Biya and her association of friends, CERAC have donated a variety of equipment to the Multi-Disciplinary Training Centre for Youths in Cameroon. The gifts were handed to the chief of the Centre by the general coordinator of CERAC Mrs. Lynda Yang, during a colorful ceremony at the CERAC headquarters in Yaounde. The gifts comprised of tailoring items such as sewing machines and threads, scissors, ironing table, steam iron, hair dryers and a refrigerator.
While handing the gifts, the General Coordinator of CERAC, Linda Yang admonished the youths to make a better use of such a gift that comes from a heart of goodwill. The event which comes on the hills of the 2015 Day of the African Child also witnessed exposers on the dangers of HIV AIDS and its prevention and the perils on cyber criminality which is now very common among youths. One of CERAC’s objectives is to empower youths socially and financially so they can contribute in developing Cameroon.
