Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

Cunning government officials, witnessing a significant leap in the number of frustrated students struggling to enroll themselves in the various public competitive exams which have been launched, decided to increase the price of medical certificates.

It is no longer 900 FCFA in the Nation’s Administrative Capital as it used to be, given that one needs to have 1500 FCFA to be able to obtained the document,  which is demanded in most if not all “concours”.

Since the launching of this year’s exams, a significant number of students, most of whom just completed from the high school, are flooding administrative offices to compile their documents. Some go for stamps or certification of their documents.

If the cost were the only hitch it would be better. It is shocking to note that one could get to a health institution and is told that the certificates are finished. The number is limited despite the increase in the price, “I arrived at the dispensary since 7am thinking that I will immediately be attended to. Unfortunately for me, the Doctor was not around. I decided to wait for him as I had been coming here for the past three days. Two days ago, I was told that the certificates for that day were exhausted, that is why I woke up so early this morning because this is the only thing that is lacking from my file of documents”, a candidate preparing for the police exam told Le Messager newspaper.
