Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

The inaugural flight from the Yaounde-Nsimalen airport to Bamenda in the North West Region, is expected to take place today 20 July 2017.

This comes after a test flight took place on 4 July 2017 from Douala to Bamenda. The duration of this flight is estimated to be shorter than the one which will be carried out today given that instead of the 45 minutes which were used for the flight, the Yaounde- Bamenda distance will take 50 minutes.

At 10:30am, the Camairco plane will take off from the Nsimalen airport and by 11:20am, it will be landing in Bamenda.

The Minister of Transport Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o will be there to witness everything that shall be taking place.

An initiative such as this one comes with joy but that will not be the case in Bamenda. This is because most of the people resident in that part of the Country are asking for something else; their rights and freedom, thus they consider this move as a motive by the government to divert their attention.
