Douala:Officials call off search for missing child who is alleged to have fallen in a pit toilet
The entrance to the site has been sealed, the over 18 metres Pit toilet filled, it is end of the road for rescue mission.
The child, NDONGFACK Junior, 3, who is alleged to have fallen in a pit toilet at the Bepanda Tonnere neighborhood in Douala close to two weeks ago, has not been found. Rescue team from the Ngodi fire fighting brigade after four days of intensive search have decided to fill the pit toilet which had become a dead trap to the rescue team.
The State Counsel at the Ndokotti Court of First Instance gave the order for the pit to be filled, but family members think the search could have been extended for one week. The site will now be used as presumed grave of little Junior.
