Douala: Two Souls perish in a tragic accident on the Wouri Bride this Morning

With the rains on the morning of the 27 June, a bike rider and his client crossing the Bonaberi Bridge fell just under the rolling tyres of a heavy duty truck which did not hesitate to crush both of them. 

The wet rails is not friendly with vehicle tyres for when vehicle tyres come in contact with it, it tends out to be a slippery frenzy. We met one Mr. Stephan who was a victim and he said “all bike riders running on this road are quite aware of this trap and they tend to avoid crossing the rails when wet especially when there is coming traffic. This rider seems to be new and he did not have a second chance to correct his mistake for the incident claimed his life together with his client.

The corps of the two men has been taken to the Laquintinie Hospital Mortuary.
