Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

Sylvain Moïse Tjock, the PCRN (Parti Camerounais pour la Réconciliation Nationale) mayor of Eseka, has been hospitalized following a physical altercation with the local Commissioner of Public Security in Eseka.

The dispute reportedly began after Mayor Tjock ordered the demolition of a structure— a hangar— that the commissioner had constructed without official authorization. Tensions escalated when the commissioner allegedly reacted aggressively, instructing someone to retrieve his firearm and threatening to use it against the mayor.

Subsequently, the situation turned violent, with the mayor reportedly receiving several blows from the commissioner. Mayor Tjock has since been admitted to the emergency room at Eseka Hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment for his injuries.

This incident has sparked public outrage, with calls for an investigation into the actions of the police commissioner. Further details are expected as authorities address the situation.
