Faculty of medicine University of Douala: Fame Ndongo calls on graduates to stay in Cameroon
The Minister of Higher Education has advised freshly graduated students of the Faculty of medicine and Pharmaceutical sciences of the University of Douala to remain in Cameroon after their formation.
He said this during their graduation ceremony which he chaired on Monday 8 January 2018 at the school campus.
141 doctors and 77 pharmacists, were officially declared fit to exercise their skills. This happened in the presence of the Minister of Public Health Andre Mama Fouda, who accompanied the Minister of Higher Education.
The advice to the laureates to stay in Cameroon, comes after the authorities who were there present, brought to the notice of the public that they have been observing a massive migration of talents like these graduates to Europe and other parts of the world to seek  greener pastures and better pay.
It was disclosed that 30% of these great minds in medicine, leave the country immediately they complete with their studies in Cameroon.
