Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

The registrar of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education has made shocking revelations yesterday in Yaoundé after a meeting held to launch the national examination season in the country. Mr Monono Humphrey claimed that “the GCE is ready to conduct its exams…”

He further revealed that the number of registered candidates for the examinations stands at 130,000.

During the meeting today in Yaoundé which brought together stakeholders in the education sector, it was disclosed that the Centre Region is the first in terms of syllabus coverage while the two regions of West Cameroon are the last.

In spite of all these shocking revelations, the participants of the meeting reiterated that nothing could stop the examinations from being taken as planned, arguing that “the GCE syllabus begins in Form Three” and that about “70% percent of the work had been covered already”.

The meeting which was chaired by the Minister of Secondary Education comes amid growing concerns over the fate of students and pupils in Southern Cameroons, who have not had a stable school year since the start of the unrest in the English-speaking regions of the country.
