Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

After an investigation led by the company commander of Mbouda, Patrice Dong Asseko, the whereabouts of a hidden “Banga” farm were discovered on the 19th of May 2017.

The farm was spotted in the Batcham sub-division of the Bamboutous Division in the West region. This investigation began as a result of complaints by the population of that locality, about a farm where the illegal crop was cultivated. The forces of law and order from there, took the matter into their hands. “This is an operation which started a week ago. Following the information that we received, we began an investigation. And luckily for us, on Monday 19 May, we saw the farm” Patrice Dong revealed to La Nouvelle expression Newspaper.

By 10:00pm of that faithful day, the crime area was identified in the Balewang village. The owner of the farm, had his Indian hemp ground some 30 kilometres from the Mbouda town. This made accessibility to the area difficult.  According to the forces of law and order, they had to walk on foot for over 25 kilometres before arriving there.

The owner of the farm in question, has not yet been apprehended, but the population was assured that, not long from then, he will be fished out from where ever he is hiding.

The Cameroon law is against the cultivation of this drug as it increases the crime wave in the country. Most youths nowadays, after consuming the illicit product, tend to pose a threat to the people around them.
