GICAM president, Andre Fotso to be laid to rest on Saturday 17th September 2016
The remains of the President of the Association of Business people in Cameroon (GICAM) Andre Fotso will be laid to rest in his native Banjoun village, in the West Region of Cameroon on Saturday 17th September 2016.
Mr Fotso Andre died at the age of 69 on the 2nd August 2016 in Paris after a protracted illness.He will be remembered as a rare Cameroonian business magnet who provided direct employment to more than 800 Cameroonians.
His efforts to enlarge the Cameroon Business landscape earned him the post of a vice President of GICAM in 2008, after having contributed to establish the Ecobank group in Cameroon in 2003.
In May 2010, the organization registered some remarkable changes thanks to some innovations made by the deceased.
In July 2010 he laid a ground work of the construction of the Kribi deep sea port, and some road infrastructural projects in September that same year.
