Cameroon: 15 killed on the Douala-Bafang highway

A trailer and a bus transporting 70 people collided on Monday along the Douala -Bafang axis precisely at a place called Fokouakemg, killing 15 people. The head of the Bafang gendarmerie company who spoke to the media immediately after the accident revealed that dozens of other passengers sustained life threatening injuries.

Police sources hinted Cameroon Concord that the bus began its journey from Bafoussam while the trailer had left the locality of Kekem. The truck reportedly lost its brakes while descending the hill in front of the Fokouakemg government high school.
