Cameroon expels son of former Liberian Head of State Charles Taylor

Taylor Cornelius Junior was arrested in Batouri in the East region of Cameroon by police as he was buying a bus ticket to travel to Yaounde. At the time of his arrest, Taylor was in possession of a passport without a Cameroon visa. The son of the Liberian thug Charles Taylor who had no legal document justifying his entry and stay in Cameroon told the police that he was heading to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Yaoundé, to get legal documents that could enable him to obtain refugee status to stay in Cameroon.

After consultation with the authorities in Yaoundé, the Senior Divisional Officer for Kadey ordered police to escort Cornelius Taylor back to the border with the Central African Republic at Kentzo. It is important to include in this report that in August 2014, Cornelius Taylor had been sent back to Nigeria from Kumba in the Southwest region after entering Cameroon via Calabar.
