Cameroon: Mebe Ngo threatens to shutdown 32 travel agencies
The Minister of Transport, Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o, has given 32 travel agencies one month to regularise their status as travel companies in Cameroon, after threatening to shut them down.
He signed a document on 27 October 2017, warning these travel agencies and promising them immediate shutdown if they don’t legalise their presence in Cameroon in a month’s time.
Among the list of 32, there are agencies like; Musango, avenir, Vatican and Marathon voyages amongst others.
The Minister said some of these agencies have been functioning for years without valid documents which could prove that they had been authorised by the government to function as travel agencies in Cameroon.
