Cameroon Special Criminal Court prevents former sports minister from leaving the country

The former minister of Sports, Adoum Garoua has been forbidden from leaving the country, Cameroon Concord has gathered from sources close to the Special Criminal Court in Yaounde. Our informant hinted that the  Delegate General for National Security was given standing instructions to use his elements stationed at the borders and restrict the movement of the former sports minister.

Justine Aimée Ngounou, the public prosecutor at the Special Criminal Court reportedly made the decision following the results of a survey conducted in January 2015 by the Higher State Control (CONSUPE) on the use of funds released by the Cameroon government for the World Cup in Brazil.  

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, and members of the Standards Committee, the technical and administrative staff of the Indomitable Lions had all been heard by state inspectors, CONSUPE . The report of that body identified overbilling.  The government recently sent a commission to Brazil to verify the accuracy of statements by some officials of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and those of the Ministry of Sports and physical Education.

The Cameroonian delegation that traveled to Brazil consisted of friends, relatives, mistresses and other impostors who have no relation to the World Cup. The border police have been told to also prevent André Nguidjol (former executive director of the national team), Jean William Sollo (former DG of the Cameroon water utilities corporation) from traveling out of Cameroon.
