Cameroon-Yaounde: Ahmed Abba, set to live a new life
The terrorism charges against Ahmed Abba, RFI Hausa correspondent, have been dropped. This was on Thursday 21 December.
RFI Hausa correspondent in Cameroon, will soon be a free man. This follows the aquitance of the charges that were put up against him. He was accused of collaborating with Boko Haram terrorists and not revealing information as desired by Cameroon's armed forces in Maroua of the Far North Region.
Ahmed Abba was given 10 years imprisonment in 2016, after being arrested in 2015. He has been in detention for 29 months.
Dropping of charges against him means that, he will soon see the face of liberty. How ever, he was sentenced to 24 months in detention for non-revelation of information.
