Cameroonian migrants repatriated from Algeria
Some 250 Cameroonians who wanted to cross over to Europe are being flown back home.
They had wanted to pass through Algeria before being blocked.
Expected in Yaoundé at 8pm local on Tuesday, the migrants are reportedly coming back voluntarily.
State broadcaster Crtv says the return of the migrants has been brokered by the government of Cameroon and the international organization for migration.
The government of Cameroon has reportedly pledged a sum of FCFA 65 000 to each of the 250 migrants.
The desire to go for greener grass in Europe, America and Asia remains strong in Africa in spite of the alleged slavery in Libya lately.
