Cameroonians protest against slave trade in Libya
A group of Cameroonians staged a protest on Monday at the Libyan embassy in Yaoundé against the ongoing slave trade in Libya.
Three of the protesters including the ringleader Nzodjou Fotsing were reportedly arrested and released hours later by forces of law and order.
The strike action continues on Tuesday, according to media reports citing Fotsing.
This comes amid global outcry against what has been observed as modern day slavery in Libya, with black Africans being used as goods.
Mr Nzodjou told Cameroon-Info.Net that their main objective is to go to Libya and bring " our brothers back home".
Most pundits have criticized the UN and other bodies for doing little to curb the tragedy.
