Canal 2 journalist, sacked for announcing Akere Muna's candidature for 2018 presidential elections
Cletus, the co-host of a Canal 2 program Jambo, has been asked to be seen no where near any of the media organs's TV sets or studios. This is because he announced on 9 October, Akere Muna's candidature for the 2018 elections, something the President Director General of Canal 2, Emmanuel Chatue, was not in accordance with.
After this first act which the journalist did on Canal 2 English, he went further to sweet fm and did the same thing a couple of times. Emmanuel Chatue on hearing it, called the Director General of sweet fm to prohibit Cletus from continuing with this announcement.
Not understanding what was going on, the journalist went to the DG of Sweet fm's office, to asked why Emmanuel Chatue was behaving towards him unfriendly. There, he was told it's as a result of the announcements he had been making.
Word was later on sent to sweet fm from Yaounde, threatening them with the suspension of the program Cletus had been presenting, if the journalist was not disallowed to present it.
However, Cletus went to Canal 2 on Sunday to co-host Jambo, but he was told he had no place any longer there.
