Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

Chadian soldiers wounded in the battle for Dikwa in Nigeria against the Islamist sect Boko Haram are currently being evacuated to the military hospital in the nation’s capital, Yaoundé. Cameroon Concord understands that the decision to move the wounded soldiers from Maroua to Yaoundé was arrived at by the Cameroon government on grounds that the troops will receive better care.

As earlier reported by Cameroon Concord, 30 Chadian servicemen were seriously wounded in Dikwa in a battle which saw the Chadian military take full control of the city from the hands of Boko Haram fighters. However, some sources have hinted our correspondent in the Far North region that the 30 Chadian soldiers sustained injuries from an explosion of a truck loaded with gas cylinders.  President Idriss Deby of Chad who is the only leader within the anti Boko Haram coalition with military experience has announced that the war against the Nigerian Islamic sect is in its last stage.
