Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

The Governor of the Littoral region, Joseph Beti Assomo, last Friday on behalf of Cameroon's Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense received a donation of military equipment from the Obama Administration to the Cameroonian defense forces. In all, 850 heavy helmets and 850 bulletproof vests were delivered to the Cameroon government in Douala by the United States Consul John Taylor.

As usual, Governor Joseph Beti Assomo stated that the US donations will help strengthen the physical protection of our troops at the front against the Nigerian Islamic sect, Boko Haram. As instructed from Yaoundé, the Governor thanked the United States government and its people on behalf of the Head of State President Paul Biya. Cameroon Concord's Chief Correspondent in Douala hinted at the time of writing this report that the US military gift is significant bearing the same message similar to the potatoes meal and tasteless wine President Obama offered African Heads of State during last year's Africa-US Summit in Washington.
