NW/SW killings: Minister Beti Assomo’s declarations in conference as ordered by Biya

This conference was as a result of the killing of members of the armed forces in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon. On reaching Cameroon from Abidjan, where he attended the AU-EU meeting, Paul Biya called for a meeting of top officials in the Military to look into the recurrent slaughtering of military men in Southern Cameroons.

During the conference, the Minister of Defense had this to say “following the president of the Republic,  Head of the armed forces’ declaration after the repeated attacks and killings in the country, that are claimed by secessionist movements, we are expected to arrive at concrete measures for the immediate application of the strategy of the heads in the army. And the process is going to continue till this situation that we are experiencing is eradicated”, the Minister said.
