''We will work to ensure credible and fair elections. This year Cameroon is organising presidential, senatorial and local elections. "We have plans to support the registration [of voters], hoping that, as much as possible, Cameroon will ensure a good electoral process. "With the help of the civil society, we intend to assist in the process [elections ] to make sure it's credible, that the elections are held peacefully, and that it's a succes. This statement comes at a time when the political atmosphere in Cameroon looks rather cloudy. It's not yet clear if Mr Biya will step down at the end of his current mandate.
