International Women's Day 2015 in Essen-Germany: "Equality for women is progress for all"
The world will celebrate the International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, 2015. The theme for this year’s celebration corresponds exactly to the situation of women in our time. In an age where women are still being discriminated against!! where women are denied justice when their dignity as human beings are violated!! In a world where women must remain silent in the face of heinous crime like rape because they are afraid of being punished even for being victims, it is just exactly right to advocate for equal rights for women. However, a lot has been achieved but apparently looks insignificant. As the world celebrates the International Women’s Day on the 8th of March 2015, we allow ourselves the opportunity to celebrate women who have broken the barriers of gender segregation to rise to positions of responsibility in our society.
So, on the 7th of March 2015, we the women residing in the beautiful city of Essen- Nordrhein-Westfalen province in Germany will be celebrating!! Our celebration will be taking place on the 7th, mindful of the fact that the world will come together on the 8th to commemorate this day because of the availability of facilities and the convenience of location. Our day will begin with a Press Conference and a Seminar. Other highlights of the celebration will feature traditional dances from women groups from Nigeria, Cameroon, India and Brazil. Participants will be entertained to an International Menu (Buffet). This event is under the patronage of Ms. Delphine Mukete CEO, African Ivory Germany in collaboration with Kuzierem Förderverein and IWPG Essen. Be with us on the 7th of March and let your support for women be heard loud and clear.
